I was quite satisfied with the service I received from Griffin Plumbing. Starting with difficulty in replacing a garbage disposal unit, they gave me a window of time to visit. An opening came and they came earlier. The technician, Mark, was superb, thorough, professional, and very considerate. Their operation is very high-tech with iPads, and structured with regard to doing a household plumbing check, documents, releases, etc., and it took more time than I would have imagined.
In the process, I ended up getting a new water heater too. Anyway, Mark accomplished everything he promised in the time frame he promised. He wore shoe coverings and spread out protective coverings and cleaned up afterwards. He was very considerate in answering all my questions, summarizing his work, and volunteering tips for me moving forward. I cannot speak to their pricing which was higher than I've ever experienced for similar work - particularly for the parts.
My Costco garbage disposal was more powerful and about $170 less than their option, a P-trap. They charge about $60 more for paid in advance for an annual maintenance contract than they do for a $24.99 per month charge with an auto-renewal which I found totally bizarre, but the service was excellent.

I have worked for a property management for 15 years and we used these guys a few times, no complaints. But using them for a personal experience was very different because, I never heard feedback. Keanu has worked on our rental several times and he is the sweetest and most knowledgeable person. He spent time to play with my dog and was very thorough while being pleasant and pilot. They even called to check on everything after he left. Thumbs up for this company, I have worked with several plumbers but never with this level.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of this company & Sean. I needed someone ASAP to fix our water heater that was leaking terribly. I had a word of mouth recommendation from another plumber I trust (who wasn't available), so as I was just checking out the website, a chat box popped up with a live human on the other end! I was then called shortly thereafter by Elizabeth who was very sympathetic, efficient and professional, and an appointment was set up for a couple of hours later. Sean was very punctual, courteous & respectful.
He was extremely thorough and clear in explaining the process and costs, offering many different options from the most inexpensive (yet adequate) fix, to the top of the line option. He did the work quickly and I now have a working hot water heater! Elizabeth followed up again later to make sure we were happy and I told her we were very thankful and will be a repeat customer. :)

I've been a member of this business since since 2018. I've stayed because all the work they've done over the years now has been exceptional. And James, who installed a disposal for me today, is exceptional as well. He's the first one to come out to my house in 2018 to install a water softener. He always shows up on time and makes sure I'm happy with the work.
He listens and explains everything and keeps his cool no meter what, super professional and trustworthy. The office workers are very helpful too and great with communication and responsiveness. Great job whoever does the hiring. Thanks again James.

My husband had Griffin install a garbage disposal in my mom's home. After that was done the person said the pipes in the house were not made for garbage disposal. It kept getting backed up and we called them to unplug it more than once. Also, they installed a kitchen faucet. I was told not to put anything down the garbage disposal. Then why have one if you can't use it?
Now 6 years later I could not figure out where the smell was coming from. Broken pipe with garbage and spiders at the end. Had to pay another plumber to repipe and fix the broken one. Was told not to use the garbage disposal because it would always back up. The smell went away though. Now for the faucet had to replace it because it leaked from day one.

Jose and Scott did a full inspection of the plumbing in my home. They reviewed their findings with me, giving me options and advice (without pressure or a sales pitch) on any items that required maintenance. The following morning Keanu and Scott were back to replace several angle stops and supply lines that were old and hard to shut off. They worked efficiently and were very professional.
They made sure that everything was clean and to my satisfaction before they left. Someone from Griffin Plumbing called me shortly after they left to make sure I was satisfied with the work. James came over today to do a yearly inspection of everything regarding plumbing. As always he as each Griffin tech was on time, professional, clean and made me feel very comfortable interacting with him. James informed me what he would be doing and proceeded to carry out each task. He explained to me as he worked what his findings were and I was really happy that there was no repairs needed anywhere.

Everyone who has been out to service our home has been wonderful. Most recently, Jake came out to do a whole house inspection for us. He was FANTASTIC. Very knowledgeable and personable. Explained everything in easy to understand terms and walked us through things visually as well. Griffin will definitely be our go-to plumbing company in the future.

I have now used Griffin twice in a couple of years, and I have been very satisfied with their service. When I called, they gave me a time span of when the plumber would be here. About 30 minutes before he arrived, I received a message that he should be here within 30-40 minutes, and he was. I had several items to be repaired, and his work was efficient, and speedy. I have a bit of experience in the business. My father owned a plumbing company, and I worked as a helper once summer. I would recommend Griffin to anyone.

James was very professional, yet he made me feel welcome. He gave 3 options for our repairs that were needed and explained what each repair would entail. We settled on the best option for our budget and I even added an additional item that needed to be replaced. Once the best option was chosen, James got right to work and was done with the repair in less than a half an hour.
Before James left, he asked me if there were any other issues that needed to be addressed in the house and I told him no and that I was happy with the service he had provided. Griffin Plumbing is the best! We will continue to use their services into the future.

I called to schedule an appointment and they were very flexible trying to get me in as soon as possible due to my leak. They were easy to speak with - professional and friendly. I received an email and text confirmation. I ended up having to cancel the appointment for not reason reflecting their service. If I need a plumber in the future, I plan to call them again.

James arrived promptly - I called this morning at 9:00 am and he was here before 11:00 am - with the replacement garbage disposal in his truck and worked very quickly. He didn't take more than 30 minutes to install the new one and he was polite, friendly, and was very good about covering his shoes when in the house. I appreciate James and Griffin Plumbing, too.

I hired them twice, both times i was extremely over charged. I have to take part of the blame for that because i blindly trusted them. They installed a kitchen faucet and charged me over 300 dollars the faucet fell apart. I found out that the same faucet could be purchased for 79 dollars. They also installed a much larger garbage disposal then was needed.
I feel that They will take advantage of the elderly and ones with lack of knowledge. When i did go to complain the office person was extremely rude. This happened several years ago, so I do hope that they aren't still taking advantage of their customers.

I'm old enough to remember companies often using these types of deceptive marketing tricks - and getting away with them - before online review sites came along to expose them. So I was pretty flummoxed to hear the nice young lady's spiel (after getting all my contact, etc. info. down). Boils down to this: Got a coupon in the mail for a free camera inspection - YAY! - what could be better for an intractably sluggish tub drain?
Oh wait - first the company charges $79 to show up. Then, they insist that they have to try to unclog the tub first - which ISN'T BLOCKED, just uncharacteristically sluggish. I will then get charged for that labor. THEN, they do the "free" inspection. Um, logically speaking, why can't they first TRY to do the inspection and then advise me on the problem, and we go from there?
If you fix the problem, THEN do the inspection, what sense does that make? It might have been a simple AT-HOME fix, that's what. But of course they're a business, and they need to make money. I find this kind of deceptive trick incredibly sad. If they had been honest and transparent and done the right thing, they would have had me as a customer for life; yet they chose to get this lousy review.
They must think people are as dumb as doorknobs. What a waste of my precious "coffee" time. Takeaway: Beware of companies that have to give you a 5-minute spiel on their "terms of service" before they will honor a simple coupon.

The worst! It's like getting a haircut from Supercuts and paying for a NYC salon experience! They get a tech onsite for $79.95 then try to screw you on the repairs. It's all scripted communication. $550 to snake a line to a septic tank and $950 to incl hydrojet is so out of touch with comp pricing. Forget the Google reviews, those are bought with $$.

Called for a simple toilet issue. They sent someone out who tried to do a home "inspection" but couldn't access one room. So they sent someone else out a couple days later. That guy also did a home "inspection" and then tried to quote over $9k and then asked numerous times when he could start all the work. First I thought it very strange to come into someone's home and want to inspect everything.twice!
When thats not what was asked for. Second, I asked for a toilet issue and you tried to convince me into allowing over $9k of work done to a normal, well running home. On top of trying to talk me into a $10k tankless water heater and a $54 a month "rewards system." Very fishy. Single women, be alert!

Griffin is very professional and normally they do a great job. However, as with other reviews here they are very expensive. I think they do over charge based on what they are doing. They seem to have fixed rates regardless of time that was spent or what was done. I would recommend them if u have a large job and insurance is involved. As they do a good job and back their work.
If it is possible to know if it's a smaller job I would go with someone else as the cost adds up quickly. For example to reseal and reset toilet, angle stop, flapper this cost 600 dollars. The plumber was only at the job a few hours at most if not less.

From my dad: "I am not the type of consumer that normally writes reviews. However. There is a plumbing company that we on the Central Coast are VERY FORTUNATE to have. And I wanted to let people know. Griffin Plumbing is not just the best plumbing or construction company that I have encountered in 70 years on this earth. They are hands-down the best and most reputable business I have ever dealt with.
I first used their services about five years ago. I have a property with my home and several rentals. Over the years I have been required to use Griffin for emergencies, remodels, and new construction projects. Every aspect of their business is superb. Their prices are fair and more than competitive. They always come out promptly and keep me informed as to the status of when they will arrive. Once they evaluate the situation they take the time to explain in plain English whatever the situation is and what all of the options are to solve it. Working with Griffin is almost like going back to another time when businesses and tradesmen really cared about their customers. We called Griffin Plumbing based on a recommendation from my husband's work mate. What they did right was they were professional on the phone when I called and they do send a text with the plumber's picture when they send him to your door. However, I will never use their service again for the following reasons: 1). The plumber arrived on time, slightly before 10 AM. However, as soon as he got here he said he had to be on a conference call so he would be out in his truck.
He was out there for 45 minutes. My time is valuable to me. If he was going to be on a required conference call at 10 o'clock why did he show up at my house at 10 o'clock? That was the first big red flag. 2). When he finally did come into the house, I pointed out that it was our disposal that needed to be fixed. However, he started darting around the house checking Water.
I asked why he needed to do that if he was there to fix my disposal, and he stated that Customer Service is just a priority with Griffin. If Customer Service was a priority with Griffin why did he spend the first 45 minutes of his visit out in his truck on a conference call?! I mentioned several times that we were only looking for a repair for our disposal and he kept checking the water heater, osmosis unit and all our toilets.
He did not look at the disposal at all. 3). After wasting all that time, he went back out to his truck to write up options for us. I told him we are not going to be replacing anything we just want our disposal fixed. He finally looked at the disposal for about three seconds and then ran out to his truck for another 30 to 40 minutes. I almost wanted to laugh it was so ridiculous.
I started texting my husband to please come home because this was a very bizarre situation. I have dealt with bad plumbers before but this man was not going to listen to anything I was saying. It was evident to me that his only goal was to sell products we didn't need. I wasted THREE HOURS of my time with him sitting in the truck, frantically running around the house trying to tell me his good customer service required that he checked everything before even touching the disposal, and then he FINALLY came in and started outlining plans for replacing everything! and told me the city has my pressure set too high so he put something on that to regulate pressure?!
What the heck?! I just wanted my disposal fixed! My husband finally was able to break away from work for lunch, and we told Griffin's representative the waste of our time was unacceptable. We'd get someone else to replace the disposal! It was like living in the far side. No matter what we said we could tell it wasn't being heard. We told him next time sometime calls for a repair, fix their item first, THEN see if the customer has 3 hours to waste for their "good customer service." Mark & Jose just finished up at my house. Great job guys. The professionalism is top notch and they provide many options to help you the customer with your needs. Called them on a Sunday for a stopped up drain pipe. They told me they could get right out but would have to charge $149.00 to clear the line rather than the regular $59.00 weekday rate. I told them to go ahead. 2 hrs. later I get a call back. They charged me $370.00. The excuse was they had to clear the line from the roof. This is a single story home with a standard pitched roof.
This was not what they quoted and no mention of a possible up charge. Plumbers routinely have to go up on roofs to clear stoppages. They did negotiate after the fact and kicked back $100.00. They need to be more specific and detailed on possible charges before proceeding with their work.

Well with a family of 6 we ended up with clogged pipes leading to the street and a sink that would not drain. I called and had an appointment the next morning. James was early and quickly worked to power wash the pipes and later came back and added a missing piece to the outside of my home. Everything was cleaned before he left. Plumbing is expensive and I did not price shop to know how they compare to others.

First time customer with Griffin Plumbing and I am happy to say.it probably won't be the last. Our plumber, Ezequiel, has been mentioned here in several other great reviews and this review will be the same. Ezequiel arrived with a smile on his face, was polite and professional! Yes, there was a push for a service contract.but honestly, if you are not expecting to get that.you are not a business person.
His work was excellent and done with the care I expected. GREAT job Ezequiel. Thank-you. As far as being expensive, I would say no more so than any other plumbing organization. Absolutely fantastic! Everyone I spoke to was very kind, professional and very helpful. My father is very ill so a broken pipe meant he would have to stay in a rest home if I didn't get the water on ASAP. They sent out two wonderful guys who did the job quickly, quietly and UNDER THEIR ESTIMATE! I can't say enough about how much I appreciated their work. They gave me plenty of options, kept me advised and did fantastic work. I just can't say enough good things about them. Stop looking- you've found your plumber!

Called griffin out when my garbage disposal unit went out. They were prompt, courteous, clean and gave me options for other issues in and around the sink. Chico did an entire home inspection and did a nice job with all the different tasks preformed. The RO unit installed had a weird issue at first but it was dealt with promptly by Griffin and the problem had nothing to do with the services provided.
