5 Star Performance Insulation

I truly wanted to do business with this company. From the initial phone call, dealing with the owner, it was a great experience. However, once I was contacted by the Sales Consultant (who supposedly had 20+yrs of experience), he immediately made it clear that he was doing me a favor, (poor mindset), then continued to debate me as to what the home needed versus what I preferred.

In addition to this, he also attempted to claim that Certainteed Blown in was NOT and superior blown in product, over cellulose. After attempting to provide my email for further communication, he said "I do not email, I show up to properties, and if that doesn't work you can call another company". Mind you, this was after I shared several details regarding what 3 other companies shared with me.

All in all, he was very dismissive and made me feel as if I needed him. Not the other way around. It would seem that after his 20+yrs, he has forgotten that PEOPLE ARE FIRST, and a positive first time impression is everything in sales. Again, truly sad, since I enjoyed the Owners conversation with me prior. I sadly will not be recommending this company.

We had 5 Star insulate the addition and remodel of our home in Murphys. Gary and his team were very professional. The entire process met and exceeded our expectations. Clean up at the end was very thorough and our space was ready to dry wall. The past year we found the interior temperatures to be comfortable summer and winter. We seldom need to turn on the air conditioner.

We will be scheduling them again to insulate the new master bedroom suite addition. Highly recommend 5 Star Performance Insulation and would give 10 stars if that were an option. Part 2 Gary from 5 Star deserves 5 Stars, 10 stars if that were possible. This was the second time they have come from Sacramento to Murphys to do an insulation job for us.

The first time was on an 800 sq ft addition and we gave them 5 stars then. We did another 600 sq ft addition and wanted open cell below the ceilings and closed cell in the attic spaces. The team of Devin and Jose did an impeccable job. They even foamed around the windows and doors. The space was left cleaner than when they started. They were very professional and courteous. The cost was very fair. We highly recommend 5 Star Performance Insulation for all your insulation needs. You will be glad you called.

I needed insulation in my attic so I searched for insulation companies online and came upon 5 Star. I was quoted a price and went ahead with the work. The workers showed up on time and seemed to do a good job of spraying insulation in to my attic. I was presented with a bill by the workers when they were done and I wrote them a check and gave it to them.

But yesterday, three weeks later and out of the clear blue, I got a nasty call from their bookkeeper who told me they didn't have my check and I hadn't paid them. She was extremely rude and un-businesslike on the phone. I told her I was not in the habit of hiring people to work on my house and not pay. She told me "well, a lot of people we deal with have us do the work and they don't pay".

I told her repeatedly I had given the workers the check. Then I became upset with her and she hung up on me. This outfit seems to do good work, but their business office is clearly unorganized and very rude and un-businesslike. I do not want to ever deal with these people again. And because of that situation, I will not ever recommend this company to anyone I know of who is looking for insulation.

Had Gary and company spray foam my Sacramento House. They did the all perimeter walls and attic area as we were doing a complete remodel. Later I had them come back do the same for the garage. They did an excellent job, cleaned up thoroughly, price was reasonable and they were punctual what more could you ask for!

Gary, the owner of 5 Star Performance helped us plan our project. We live 1 to 1 1/2 hours out of Sacramento. Gary made several trips to our job site to help us get ready for the insulation. He was always professional and easy to work with. When we were ready for the insulation, his people showed up on time and were very professional and nice. Our project took 4 days to complete and I got to know his employees.

They are nice guys who have worked for Gary for 15-20 years. Having employees this long only happens when the owner is a good person and fair. I highly recommend this company for all your insulation needs.

Gary's crew spent a couple days installing our spray foam insulation to our new home. They did and excellent job with the installation and cleanup. Gary and his crew was great at answering any questions we had and going the extra mile to make sure they completed the installation on our schedule.

Having been employed with developers, contractors and surrounded by real estate agents for several years, in the Truckee-Tahoe area that have used this company. I am very familiar with Gary and the crew at, 5 Star Performance Insulation and how they install high, quality insulating products. Their cellulose and foam insulation are incredible for sound proofing and energy efficiency.

This type of insulation really works but is a very labor-intensive process and Gary's & Crew really know their products and get in there and get it done right, and then do a great clean up afterwards. I highly recommend Five Star Performance Insulation.

Had gary and the boys come and spray foam my Fair Oaks House. They did the crawl space amd attic area. They did an excellent job, cleaned up thoroughly and made my home much more comfortable. I've been working with Gary and his crew for 10 years. As a HERS Rater, we are responsible for inspecting the insulation installs on new construction/addition/remodel projects. They are one of few companies we don't have to make multiple trips to get the install correct. These guys do great work and are prompt when completing the required Title 24 certificates. It's always a pleasure working with them on a job.

Zero stars! They don't even deserve a star in their name. STAY FAR AWAY from this company. Completely unreliable and will disappear, make excuses and keep pushing out your timeline. All the while telling you that its just the way the business is. NOT TRUE. There are many other insulation companies out there that understand what it means to deliver service on time. Whatever you do. go elsewhere. It will save you time, money and a huge headache.

Had Gary and the boys out to my Fair Oaks home. They sprayed foam under the floor and across the attic of my house. What a difference it made. It's way to keep the house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. My son who lives close by stopped over at the house the other day and asked what temperature I had the Ac at. I said " it's not on" Worth every penny

We had Mike come out and give us an estimate on May 9, 2017 and haven't heard from him since. We have emailed, called and texted and still no answer. Guess they don't need the work.

I can't say enough good things about Gary and his staff at 5 Star Performance Insulation. They are extremely professional and passionate about what they do and take care of their customers. This is a great company that I highly recommend!

Last summer we had our crawlspace, which ranges from 2.5ft to 4ft in height insulated. Our floors would get very cold (as low as 60 F) during the winter months. This winter even with our below freezing nights our floors have never gotten below 67 the difference is amazing.
