Colmex has worked with non-profit agencies such as Habitat for Humanity, Harmony Neighborhood Development (formerly the New Orleans Neighborhood Development Collaborative), the Preservation Resource Center, and Lower 9th Ward NENA.As a result, Colmex Construction is this year's recipient of Entergy's prestigious The Power of People Award. Over the last few years, we have put an emphasis on building new energy efficient homes in the Lower 9th Ward, Gentilly, and Uptown neighborhoods.

We completed a project on a tight timeline with Colmex. They were super responsive, met with us before bidding, before signing the contract, and kept this project moving. I'd recommend them to anyone completing a small or large project. They worked a lot with a web based app that allowed us to keep track of the project on a daily basis. They were able to meet our custom requests on the fly thanks to the fact that they keep several skilled craftsmen on staff. I'd work again with them in a heartbeat!

They built my house Uptown about 7 yrs and I have had issue after issue with the construction. The porch started to decay after the 3rd year but when I reached out to them about the problem I was essentially told that it was my fault. I called them recently to get an estimate to replace the wood and they told me that I'd have to do a complete tear off and it would be in the sums of over $4k. An inspector came out and I learned that half of my windows didn't latch properly because the were never installed properly to begin with. This caused me to sell my home for less than what it was worth.
