Brown Fence Co Inc was outstanding to my family and me after the tornado of 2020. Every other fence company that I got estimates from said that I would be on a waiting list for 2 months. Brown was working on my new fence the same week I contracted with them. The crew built a beautiful fence! They made sure everything was perfect for my dog. Brown Fence came out to our property and repaired all of our pasture fence, they did an excellent job. They painted our post black (as requested) and put in new fence and gates where needed. I contracted with Brown Fence company 8 years ago to replace my wood fence, for which I paid a pretty penny. They hired a subcontrator to do the job. The subcontractor did an ok job, but not great. When I reported my concerns to Brown Fence they finally sent their own crew and the job got finished as I had contracted for. Recently, I needed repairs to a gate.
I sent an email message through their website and never heard a response. I waited a few days and then called and talked to the person who answered the phone. She said that she would have someone contact me. I informed her that I fully understood that I would need to pay for the replacement or repairs to the gate, whatever was required. It has been two weeks and there has been no response from Brown Fence Company. Service after the sale, even when you know and agree to pay, is not a priority to Brown Fence, in my opinion.

A friend recommended Brown Fence Co. after they had used them several years ago and were happy with the results. I called and asked the receptionist to have someone call me to set up a time to give me an estimate. She took my information and said someone would get right back with me. I waited 2 weeks and never heard from anyone. I called back again and spoke with a gentlemen who set up an appointment for the following week.
The appointment was set for 9:45 am. I arrived at the property at 9:38 am. with a 2 month old baby in tow in the rain which was definitely not an easy task but I was determined to keep my appointment. Because the estimate was for a covered porch railing I never dreamed it would affect my appointment. I waited for 45 minutes and called the company several times during that time but no one answered.
I returned home and continued calling Brown Fence until a man answered which was at least an hour after my appointment time. When I asked what happened, the man very nonchalantly stated that it was raining so no one had shown up. I explained that the rain should not have been a deterrent since it was a covered porch estimate. Furthermore, someone could have had the decency to call and let me know they wouldn't be coming so as not to grossly inconvenience me.on a set appointment with their company.
The man asked if I wanted to reschedule which I found laughable. With a company as highly rated as this one you would certainly expect better customer service. Obviously they have enough business that they are not concerned about losing jobs. They will definitely not be getting my business nor will I be able to recommend them to anyone else.
