Kirkness Roofing is a family owned and operated business established in 1978. Roger Cummings bought the company from the Kirkness family in 1994. Roger started work for the company in 1991 and worked his way up from laborer to owner. Roger decided to leave the name as Kirkness Roofing because he was proud of the companys reputation and planned to continue to provide the same honest, dependable long term service.
Rogers wife, Linda, came to work for the company in 1995 and oversees the office. Kirkness Roofing specializes in both commercial and residential roofing. The company is an approved installer for Versico Roofing System, GAF and Genflex for low slope projects.

Andy responded promptly to my call about a leaking roof. He was considerate, professional, prompt and thorough. He explained what he found after his inspection and executed indicated repairs on the spot. I feel that I have found a reliable and trustworthy contractor, which means that Kirkness Roofing will be the one I call next time I need roofing done. In a world of dubious options, it is good to find a reliable choice.

Thank you, Drew! You and your team exceeded our expectations. We discovered we had lost some of the shingles on our second story when we noticed a leak into the house. We saw a recommendation for Kirkness Roofing on the Nextdoor app and contacted them. Drew came out on a Saturday and gave us an amazing quote. The team came out and the job was done quickly and professionally! Thank you again everybody at Kirkness.

Kirkness was the third company to give us an estimate on the Euro Shield shingles. The price quote was a lot more reasonable. The estimate also included replacing our two skylights. The wait time that they estimated for our repair job was way quicker than they quoted us! The shingles come from Canada and with Covid they were not quite sure how long it would take to get the shingles in!
When the work began on our home they showed up on time and worked diligently. The workers were wonderful and took only a day and a half! Everything was spotless when they finished and the roof looks beautiful. We have had a ton of compliments on the roof. We would whole heartedly recommend Kirkness! We are beyond pleased with the experience that we had with them! Ted & Jan Billings, Mt.

The Kirkness team is our go to professionals for our roofing needs. Recently, Andy came out in immediate response to our request for him to inspect our roof for certification so our home sale can proceed. Andy's knowledge and response is consistent with the great service we've received through the years. That is why we remain loyal customers. Thank you! Mark & Gayle B.

Andrew came out was very personable. He checked out our roof as we had just purchased the home and had a home inspector stating it needed some work done. He said everything looked good and reattached a couple of pieces of flashing around the chimney that came loose. When we asked about a bill, he said don't worry about it. Amazing to see service like this anymore. Would recommend them highly.

Kirkness Roofing's service was poor. I am disgusted with their timeliness of service, the preference of service to a male neighbor and the excuses they came up with of why they were so late and took so long to complete the job, and the poor job estimating the work that needs to be done. 1. Since summer 2014 my mother had the start roofing date scheduled for a Monday in June 2015.
She also had tues the following week new windows scheduled to be put in after the roof was done so there wouldn't be a conflict of work being done. They didn't start until Thursday of that week. Then no work was done on Friday or Saturday. My mother called Monday, the next week and the excuse was that Friday her roofers had to work on a commercial project. 2.
Then she was told that it would take extra days to finish the roof as there were 4 layers of shingles. Now the roofers and windows would be installed at the same time. 3. Her male neighbor called to schedule his roof to be done about the same time to help the roofing company, being as they were in the area, 2 weeks before mom's scheduled start date.
His roof was started on Thursday and completed on Saturday. 4. If you are going to be in the profession of roof replacement one would think they would actually get up and evaluate the situation and be able to see that there was 4 layers of shingles. Then they could give her an appropriate estimate of the time it would take to finish the job when she scheduled everything.
I feel that they were just taking advantage of an older woman. "Oh she is home and it won't matter if we get her work done on time." Wrong! She had many things scheduled and worked out the timing. I feel bad for the window workers who had to deal with roofing material being thrown down and having to coordinate the work because the roofing company didn't keep timely service. (oh yes they did try to make it right by giving her a gift card, and they did complete the work by the latest possible date, by working late in the evenings.) I am writing this review as she has the personality to not complain publicly but only express her stress and concerns to family. This was extra stress that she didn't need.

Looking for a zero star rating to be made available by Yelp for this roofing contractor. Called for an estimate on a job, was promised one for the next week. 2 weeks later. All they can do is tell me they're really busy and they have no idea where my estimate is at. They also are too busy to be bothered with paperwork currently because they need to take care of some leaky overhead lighting.
