They have excellent help! They don't force themselves but offer their assistance right away and remain available! I bought fired tile from Spain. Nobody else in town had anything close.

They had great customer service and we loved that they had most products in stock. We had a great experience here.

Managers were very rude when it came down to do a return but when doing a purchase the encourage you to buy extra boxes because you can always return them. They also have no communication with each other they did not give the full amount that we paid for and when confronted about it didnt say anything

Excellent service, good selection of tile, knowledgeable staff. They have quite an assortment of tile on hand and can special order just about any style as well. I have been going to Bill Ray for decades. They are friendly and can offer good advice when needed. They also will leave you alone if you let them know you are just looking and don't need help. No hard sells, they want you be happy with your choices. I strongly recommend Bill Ray.

Im retired and disabled therefore have a very limited budget and need some tile work done in my bathroom deepest water damage. So I have no choice but to learn and do it myself. I walk into Bill Ray tile and walk up to the gentleman at the counter and explain what I'm trying to do. I was greeted with an attitude less than Pleasant and clearly not someone wanting to help a customer I was admittedly brushed off to the clearance section why purchase some remnant tile that will actually help.

The customer service at this establishment is poor especially I guess for those that are not contractors are making a significant purchase. No fairness the store that carry beautiful tile and a large selection. However I doubt I'll go back customer service key and I don't want to waste anyone's time.

I came by this place recommended by a uncle of mine due of their variety of tiles. When I walked in, it didn't disappoint me! I knew that was the place I was going to get the tile and color I wanted. As I was walking around, Ricardo was the staff member who helped me! Oh em geee. he made me feel very comfortable! He helped me through the process and even helped me decide- he was kind enough to give logical opinions. Explained me through all the confusing math, ( ps.

Make sure of your measurements- that's a most, don't buy unless you know how much you will need- so you wont buy more than it is supposed to. They have a 15% restocking fee. You can buy enough and if you need more, go get the amount needed- you can definitely avoid that restocking fee if you are smart enough) and overall he was more than welcoming and helpful, I haven't encountered anyone so helpful like him these days neither have I found a person so passionate on helping and easy to answer questions around town, which let me tell you; I been everywhere possible in Bakersfield!

At Bill Ray, I had a smooth transaction and an overall awesome customer service and product quality! You won't get disappointed for sure. Their pricing is very good! I don't think you will find a better pricing than them, I can assure you that! I recommend it and if you find Ricardo around, give him a Hi- five, he deserves it! Thank you Bill Ray!

On the plus side, they have a huge selection. And plenty of sales folks to help you. And offer assurances that their actual policies do not always back up. Watch that die. Print! However, beware their return policy. Anyone who has ever employed a remodeled knows that these folks take time, especially when unforeseen house remodel problems crop up. and Bill Rays has a 7 day return limit! RIDICULOUS when your contractor needs two to four weeks to demolish and recreate your bathroom!

They SAY that returning unused boxes of tile after a week is usually no problem but they do not mention that slight variations in tile batches could render your return out of date. Which ours was due to a tiny, invisible to the eye shade of difference in their new lot.by the same name! Cost us nearly $200 in unreturnable shower tile.

This place is awesome. So, I was THAT GUY. The one that showed up Friday night 10 minutes before closing Time. We were pretty spent from looking all day at tile. I felt bad coming in that late, but we were cross town and wanted to finish out the day. Rusty, one of the folks that worked there was so kind and helpful. He stayed after most folks went home and found us EXACTLY what we were looking for.

As a result we bought about $1700 worth of tile. Rusty was incredible and we appreciated the "hometown" atmosphere and service. I highly recommend them for service, price, and selection. Nice job!

Very knowledgeable staff willing to help accommodate any budget. Giant showroom with many kitchen and bath mock-ups to help visualize your remodel. Buying the material was the easy part. Time to get to work.

I wanted to praise Bill Ray Tile's representative Juan. I'm sorry I did not get his last name. My husband and I came to the store 3 times. We wanted to get our small shower stall tiled and we did not know what we wanted. Juan was so patient with me while I walked around the store with my piece of our floor tile I wanted to coordinate with the new shower stall tile. Juan found just the right tile to match my existing floor tiles and after writing up the amounts of tile we would need twice as I was so indecisive, we bought our tile and went back to tehachapi.

We contacted the tile man Juan recommended here in tehachapi and we are so happy. We have done business with Bill Ray tile in the past and will continue to do business there. You don't find help in the big box stores that would ever compare with the help Juan gave us.

Very poor business practices. I purchased a bunch of tile to redo my flooring. The sales associate told me if I have left over tiles I can return them for a refund. When I go to return 10 unopened boxes, they tell me I can't return them. That's horrible. UPDATE: They messages me and wanted to take care of it. They accepted our tiles back with a refund. I'm glad they honored their salesperson's word. Thank you.

My 65 year old mother was recently in jured at this location. Leading to loss of nerve in toe. An no one called to follow up on a injury report nothing! She had to reach out an I find that ridiculous. Now that they finally are following up an insurance person was very rude who they go thru to my mom like the accident was her fault not happy with how they approched this accident. Forklift we're involved an they treat this like isn't a serious matter my 9 year old was right next to her an that could of been her having boxes if tile falling on her foot.an we still purchased tile from them even tho all happened not happy at all with how the company an there insurance has treated my mom in this she has been out of work for two months due to this! An they are treating her like it's her fault smh!

Bill Rays tile really made my experience great! The customer service was exceptional and not to mention their patients was 1st to none!

Bill Ray earned our business simply by having the best selection of wood-look tile, and the perfect one for our home, and at a very competitive price. We were recommended by our good friend (and favorite tile contractor), Mike Marroquin. He has done business with them for 17 years, and says that not only are the people at Bill Ray honest, knowledgeable, and attentive, but also order only the best quality of tile.

I could not disagree. For all my future tile needs, I will shop with Bill Ray first. The cherry on top is that they're local. I love supporting local merchants/small business, especially on the Eastside of Bakersfield. My only concern with the store is it's lack of technology. I understand the modest, throwback style of business that they run, but a computer to track business wouldn't hurt

If you notice all the eating out my family has been doing is all because of the mess tiling has cause at our house but I love eating out so We purchased our tiles from Bill Ray Tile after shopping several other tile businesses. They had the best selection on up-to-date styles. You wouldn't think so because of all the old school decor but their selection is fashionably undeniable (is that a thing? ).

Their employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions. We made a few trips before deciding on a specific tile. Each time we were greeted with a smile from all the employees we came into contact. I took one star because of the old equipments. It took a while to find our purchase when we needed to re-buy more tile. Overall, if you're looking for tile make sure to stop at Bill Ray Tile.

We started looking for tile a couple of months ago at the big box stores in Bakersfield and never did talk with a knowledgeable salesperson. Next we went into the various tile stores in the Southwest and Northwest and found them to be quite overpriced. Finally we went to the east side of town and found Bill Ray Tile, whoohoo! Our salesman Rusty has been there forever and his extensive product knowledge was obvious.

He made recommendations on various tiles, suggested some different color combinations, all in all it was like dealing with an interior decorator for FREE. The tiles are all installed now, looking great, we're inviting the neighbors over to show off our Bill Ray tiles. Maybe they'll go down there and purchase something, don't forget to ask for Rusty! Biggest group of flakes that I have ever dealt with. Buyer beware. I purchased slate stone and their product was soooooo terrible. They would not do anything to even attempt to work with me the customer. They are a very corrupt and shady business. Buyer beware. I am now stuck with a tile that is nothing like the product that they have listed on their sample board. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with these people.

I love this place, I always go shop around and no matter what I always come back and purchase here, they have the best prices in town and the friendliest staff and helpful! I will be back and I do recommend Bill Ray tile.

Have shopped here many times and always been taken very good care of. A few times ago we had an issue over a color lot difference and the manager gave us the tile at cost to make up for it and I assured him this would make us continue to use them and it has.

Bill Ray Tile has a wide variety of tiles. Their employees are very knowledgeable with their products and very helpful. With their own suggestions on your projects. Explaining every step of work. We had visit several stores in Bakersfield looking for tile before.

Tile, Tile, Tile Bathroom, Kitchen, Pool, floor etc Lots of different designs, colors. Nice, helpful service. They had a lot more 4x4 tiles with designs a few years ago as opposed to now. Sales rep said they did not sell so cut back on that. Great tile showroom!
