In July of 1990, Lee Q. Lewis had just returned from a sixteen month job assignment in the Cayman Islands, where he had finished overseeing the construction, hiring and opening of the first Wendy's restaurant on the island. Lee had just completed the awesome experience of being allowed to test and practice his business skills in operating a business.Returning to Akron, Lee was committed to two things; He was preparing for the arrival of his first child and opening his own business. Within six weeks, the buying of Akrosteam Carpet Cleaning became his business dream come true. Lee, knowing very little about the industry, started out by relying very heavily on his existing staff.

I would highly recommend Akrosteam for all of your floor cleaning needs. Not only did they clean our carpets but they also stripped, waxed and buffed the tile floors here at our fire station. Chris came over for the estimate and explained everything in great detail. During day of he was very professional and took great care to ensure I knew what he was going to do and ensured that no damage would happen to the house while he was working. He was thorough and at the end explained everything he was able to accomplish and what might need some more attention later on.
I highly recommend akrosteam and will certainly use again in the future. Very pleased with the work and how diligent he was in getting up all the normal and pet stains before we moved into our new home!

Akrosteam is the absolute best! I've used them several times myself, and refer them to friends and family often! Don't fall for the cheap whole home specials others advertise.just call Lee and his team and you won't be disappointed. They're not the cheapest, but they'll get the stuff out of your carpets and upholstery that the discount cleaners leave behind. They do everything correctly, the first time! Communication is excellent, and quality is exceptional.

I have used AkroSteam several times to have my carpet cleaned and always appreciated their attention to detail and the results. This is the first time for upholstery on a couch that had been my mother's. Unfortunately, as Chris explained, yellowing from her being a smoker doesn't come out. But, it smells better and just knowing it is clean makes me feel better. I was surprised by the cost. It was nearly as much as having the carpet in my house cleaned. But it was done in the same professional manner and I am pleased with the work.

It's been about 6 weeks since I had my carpet cleaned by Akrosteam and I purposely waited to submit a review to see how the cleaning held up. We had stains due to an ill pet and the carpet was older so my goal was to remove as much stain as possible, deodorize and sanitize. As of today my carpet looks just as beautiful as the day Christopher and Rob left my home.
The nap on the rug is still standing up; there has been no "bleed through" dirt that worked it's way to the surface as I experienced with other carpet cleaners due to not removing all the deep down dirt! You won't regret your decision to use Akrosteam - you'll be amazed to watch the processes they go thru to complete a very professional job! You get what you pay for - I'm thrilled with my results - you will be too! Linda R.

Chris is very professional, responsive, and helpful. He did a fantastic job cleaning out the carpets and putting in a deodorizer. He was very easy to get in contact with and I had no issues scheduling an appointment. He even recommended a better solution and was honest about his pricing. Aside from a very good job and cleaning my carpet, it was good to support a local business which I like to do when I can. An important part of doing so is having someone communicate as well as Chris did. He responded to all my calls and needs to reschedule and change the original order. He also didn't push to add to the sale and very willingly explained when I asked questions about some of the issues present in this job.
