Some idiot (me) backed into my garage door before it had opened completely. I bent the panel on the bottom, the wheel on one track came out and the wire for the motor mechanism to open/close was disconnected. The damage was such that I could not operate the door electrically and could not close it completely by hand - even after bending back some of the damage I'd wrought. Rick from Salem Garage Door Specialties arrived on his way to another job shortly after I'd called the company.
He assessed the damage, took pictures, and said they'd send me an estimate via email for replacing the damaged bottom panel. Here's the amazing part - He spent 20 minutes trying to re-bend some of my handiwork, shored up some of the broken panels on the bottom, made several adjustments, screwed in the drooping, bottom panel rims, re-attached the wire, and - voila - the door works again!
Best parts - Rick's really pleasant, obviously skilled worker and he said this was an inspection so, no charge! I couldn't believe it but it's true. I can't recommend this company enough! They're the cat's pajamas!

Very simple and easy process from start to finish. Kenn was extremely helpful and made sure we got exactly what we needed, even with extremely custom measurements. The wait time for the door was shorter than any other place in town. As soon as our door came in it was installed in less than an hour and it looks great. Would highly recommend this company not only for their exceptional service but also their unbeatable prices.

Our garage door broke and would not close. I called and told them my issue, including that we were not able to close the door. They talked to Dan, a tech that was just getting ready to go home. He arrived, with Ken, about 30 minutes later. They were very professional and we enjoyed talking with them. They did fantastic work in a short period of time. Next time we need anything done to our garage door we will surely call Salem Garage Door Specialties first. Friendly, helpful, professional and great craftmanship!

Same day service call! Jerry came out and got our garage door opened so we could get the car out and go to work. Then the team came that afternoon and quickly repaired what was broken and installed a new, up-to-code unit on the other door. Friendly, nice guys. No pressure on the estimate or sale. I had some problems with another garage door repair company, so I contacted this company second. They were excellent! Very helpful customer service, came out within 2 days, and fixed the issue for nearly half the cost of the other company. The technicians were very helpful and even fixed a couple other issues with the garage door at no extra cost (not even parts!). I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to have work done with their garage door. These guys are definitely true professionals.

I wish I could give them 10 stars! The service technicians arrived on time, were very professional, did a great job, and the service charge was very reasonable. If only I had called them first instead of the rip-off company In McMinnville I initially contacted. Called Salem Garage Door Specialties this morning after the cables on my garage door pulleys came loose causing serious binding of the door. They were able to fit me into their schedule and showed up at the door in the early afternoon. It was obvious from the start that the tech, Adrian Diaz, was highly skilled as well as productive. Adrian had the door restored to proper operation in less than an hour. I would not hesitate to recommend Salem Garage Door Specialties and will certainly be using them in the future for any garage door needs.

They Told me a different thing and did a different thing. They were suppose to come today and install my garage and they delayed me 2 months and the only reason they couldn't come today because they found a bigger job that was more important. And told me it could be another 2 weeks before they could get to me. I was very disappointed with these people and do not recommend them to anyone.

I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs garage door services. The first young gentleman, I forgot his name, came to fix the door but did not have the right set of correct size, he patiently explained the problem and offered to provide temporary solution before he returns with the right spring set, if I need to pull my car out. When the company gets the right springs, Shane and Paul came right away and changed the broken spring. Quick and very professional. Their services were excellent and I truly appreciated Sharon who spoke to me on phone with all kind of assistance. Thank you guys.

Short version: They never showed up for the appointment nor did they let me know they weren't going to show up. They didn't call me back multiple times when they said they were going to. The appointment got rescheduled for the next day but they didn't know what time. I ended up cancelling the rescheduled appointment but one of their techs still called to say he was on his way.
They may be garage door specialists, but they're terrible schedulers. Long version: I called them on a Wednesday. They told me they would try to fit me in on Thursday or Friday. And if not the next appointment is on Tuesday. They just needed to talk with the techs to see if they could fit me in. They told me they would call back shortly but never did.
I called them several hours later and talked with a different person. This person said my appointment was on Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around and THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP AND NEVER CALLED TO LET ME KNOW. I called them at the end of the appointment window. They told me they were going to talk with their tech and find out what was going on. They told me they would call back shortly but never did.
I called an hour later and was told they needed to find my paperwork. They told me they would call back shortly but never did. I called 45 minutes later and asked what was happening. They told me a tech was out sick that day and all of his appointments were cancelled. (Isn't this something that should have been communicated to me first thing in the morning?) They told me they would talk with another tech to see if they could fit me in the next day (Wednesday-a full week after I initially called).

Apparently they expect their customers to miss an entire day of work while waiting for them to potentially show up. I said fine and hung up, knowing well that I was going to cancel the appointment.

I had to tell him I already cancelled the appointment. So now one of their tech's time has been wasted. I missed nearly an entire day of work waiting around for them.
